Derelicte 14: A Fashion Odyssey

Derelicte 14: A Night Where Fashion, Art, and Music Collided in Thunder Bay

Thunder Bay recently hosted Derelicte 14: A Fashion Odyssey at the Black Pirates Pub. The night combined art, fashion, and music. I had the privilege of photographing every electrifying moment of this extraordinary event.

A Celebration of Creativity

Derelicte 14, hosted by the Definitely Superior Art Gallery, was more than a fashion show. It celebrated creativity and self-expression. The venue pulsed with energy as live performances by Mother of Wolves and The Shouldn’ts filled the space. At the same time, Def Sup go-go dancers added flair, movement, and visual intensity. Every corner of the event offered moments worth capturing.

Performances That Set the Tone

As the evening began, anticipation filled the air. Bold fashion choices and unforgettable performances created excitement. Performers like Belly Dance Fusion, Beatrix Muse, and the World Dance Collective took the stage. Each brought a unique style and rhythm, together creating a seamless flow of movement and expression.

A Visual Tapestry of Motion

The choreography stood out for its grace and intensity. Performers’ movements wove a visual tapestry of rhythm and emotion. Every frame demanded to be photographed. In the end, Derelicte 14 blended fashion, performance, and music into one immersive experience. It reflected Thunder Bay’s creative spirit and left a lasting impression on all attendees.

Runway Moments That Defined the Night

The true magic unfolded on the runway, where local models walked with confidence and poise. They showcased garments from Thunder Bay boutiques, including Perfect Fit Lingerie, Silver Cedar Studio, and The African Boutique. Each look highlighted creativity and craftsmanship, celebrating the talent of local designers.

Wearable Art Steals the Show

The standout moment featured the wearable art fashion shows. As the spotlight shifted, avant-garde creations took center stage. These pieces, designed by Wiggins Productions, Michel Dumont, and Samantha Jolene, blended innovation with imagination. Unlike traditional fashion, the designs pushed boundaries using bold materials and unconventional construction. The wearable art blurred the line between fashion and art, leaving a lasting impression on every attendee.

my night

From the start, my mission was clear: capture the essence of Derelicte 14 in every frame. I focused on the intricate details of costumes and the dynamic movements of dancers. Each shutter click preserved moments of raw emotion and unfiltered energy. Fleeting instants became lasting visual stories.

A Night to Remember

As the night ended, I felt deep gratitude for being part of such an unforgettable event. Derelicte 14 blended color, sound, and style into a feast for the senses. The event left a lasting impression on all attendees. As I packed up my camera gear, I looked forward to the next edition, eager to capture the magic of Derelicte again.
