There’s something truly special about photographing families who don’t often get to be in the same place at the same time. When Norma reached out to us for Family portraits Thunder Bay, she was overjoyed to finally have her entire family together, a rare and cherished event.
Norma and her husband are in their golden years. This summer they were blessed to have all their children visiting at once. With everyone living far apart, these kinds of family reunions are few and far between. Norma wanted to make the most of the occasion and preserve it with timeless portraits they could treasure forever.
perfect weather, soft natural light, and a relaxed summer vibe. We decided to bring chairs out from inside the house. We place them in their beautiful backyard setting. This allowed Norma and her husband to sit comfortably throughout the session. Next, the rest of the family gathered around them. With them front and center, we rotated family members in and out to create a wide variety of groupings.
We captured it all. The full family together, three generations of women, just the boys, all the grandkids, and a priceless moment of Norma giving her husband of many, many years a sweet kiss on the cheek.
This was the perfect example of what we love about doing family portraits in Thunder Bay. It’s not just about taking pictures. It’s about celebrating connection, love, and legacy.
Everyone was thrilled with how the images turned out, and we were so honoured to be a part of preserving such a meaningful chapter in their story.
