Bringing Professional Photography to Your Workplace

At Kirvan Photography + Film, we understand that not every business professional has time to step away from the office for a portrait session, and they shouldn’t have to. That’s why we offer on-site business headshots in Thunder Bay, making it easy and efficient for companies to get high-quality, professional photos taken right at their place of work.

We’ve had the opportunity to photograph some incredible people across a variety of industries, and no two sessions are the same. Our goal is always the same, though: to make the process simple, comfortable, and tailored to your professional image.

Jeff NAV CANADA: Headshots with a View

One of our favorite sessions was with Jeff, an air traffic controller at NAV CANADA, located in the observation tower at the Thunder Bay Airport. Jeff had recently received a national award, and his team wanted to celebrate him with professional portraits in his unique workplace.

We captured Jeff with his headset on, overseeing the runways through the tower’s panoramic windows, and included some classic headshots where he looked both professional and proud. The result? A set of photos that told the story of his expertise in a space that means so much to him.

Bruce: A Surgeon’s Story for U of T

Next up was Bruce, a long-time surgeon at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, who was being featured in a University of Toronto healthcare magazine. He needed professional portraits that showcased not only his skill but his environment.

We joined Bruce in the surgical suite (in full protective gear!) to get photos that felt authentic and in-the-moment. Afterward, we took more formal shots of him in a suit in the hospital corridor. The combination gave him a complete set of headshots: editorial, environmental, and professional.

The Team at Open Mind: Staff Headshots Made Easy

We also worked with Open Mind, a local furniture store that wanted to refresh their staff photos. They needed individual headshots of new team members, plus an updated group photo. Instead of asking everyone to come to a studio, we brought the studio to them, lights, backdrop, camera, and all.

In a single visit, we delivered a polished collection of on-site business portraits that represented their brand and team energy.

Why On-Site Headshots Work

What we love about on-site business headshots in Thunder Bay is that the workplace itself adds context and character. Whether it’s a tower, hospital, or retail floor, the environment says a lot about the person and their profession. We make sure every client looks both professional and approachable, while letting their workspace shine too.

Plus, on-location sessions save time. We can photograph teams and individuals in one visit, making it a convenient and cost-effective solution for busy companies.

If you’re looking to update your staff photos, celebrate a promotion, or feature your team in media or marketing, let us bring the studio to you.
