Convenient On-Site Business Headshots in Thunder Bay

At Kirvan Photography + Film, we know that not every business professional has time to leave the office. That is why we bring on-site business headshots in Thunder Bay directly to you. This approach makes it simple and efficient for companies to get high-quality, professional portraits taken right at their workplace.

Over the years, we have photographed incredible professionals across a wide variety of industries. No two sessions are ever the same, but our goal always remains consistent: to make the process easy, comfortable, and tailored to your professional image.

Here are three recent on-site sessions that show just how different, and how rewarding, this kind of work can be.

Highlighting Unique Workspaces with Professional Headshots

One of our favorite sessions featured Jeff, an air traffic controller at NAV CANADA in Thunder Bay Airport’s observation tower. Jeff had recently received a national award, and his team wanted to celebrate him with professional portraits taken right in the environment where he does his best work.

We captured him wearing his headset and overseeing the runways through the panoramic windows, putting his role front and center in every frame. We also took classic headshots that conveyed his professionalism and the quiet pride he carries in his work.

The result was a set of images that told the full story of Jeff’s expertise, grounded in a workspace that is uniquely and meaningfully his. It is exactly the kind of session that reminds us why on-site photography is so powerful.

Capturing Expertise in Action with Environmental Headshots

Next, we photographed Bruce, a long-time surgeon at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, for a feature in a University of Toronto healthcare magazine. He needed professional portraits that reflected both his skill and the environment he works in every day.

We joined Bruce in the surgical suite, wearing full protective gear, to capture authentic, in-the-moment images that placed him squarely in his element. Then we moved to the hospital corridor for formal shots of him in a suit, giving the editorial team a range of looks to work with.

Together, the two setups produced a complete and compelling portrait package: editorial, environmental, and classically professional. It was a session that required flexibility and preparation, and we loved every minute of it.

On-Site Business Headshots for Local Teams

We also collaborated with Open Mind, a local furniture store, to refresh their staff photos. They needed individual headshots for new team members as well as an updated group photo, so we brought the full studio setup to them, lights, backdrop, camera, and all.

In a single visit, we worked through the entire team efficiently without disrupting their day more than necessary. Every portrait came out polished and consistent, reflecting both their individual personalities and the overall brand.

The images gave Open Mind a cohesive, professional look across their team while saving everyone the hassle of coordinating an off-site session. It is the kind of practical solution that works well for businesses of any size.

Why On-Site Business Headshots Work

What we love most about on-site sessions is that the workplace itself adds context and personality to every image. A control tower, a surgical suite, or a retail floor tells a story about the person and their profession in a way that a plain studio backdrop simply cannot.

At the same time, we make sure every client looks professional, approachable, and confident, regardless of the setting. The environment adds character; the photography makes sure you look your best within it.

Whether you are updating staff photos, celebrating a promotion, or creating images for marketing and media, we will bring the studio to you and capture your team at their best.
