Photographer for Playground Projects: Capturing Blue Imp’s Newest Installation

We recently had the pleasure of working once again with Blue Imp, a long-standing client known for their innovative and fun playground designs. As a photographer for playground projects, I understand that these jobs often come with unique visual goals. Furthermore, this one was no exception.

This latest project had three specific requirements that we followed to the letter.

1. Aerial Drone Coverage

First, Blue Imp specifically requested drone shots of the new playground equipment. Aerial photography is one of the best ways to showcase the full scope of a park. Not only does it highlight the structure itself, but it also shows surrounding features like seating areas for parents and open green space. Additionally, these wide, sweeping drone views give context to how the play space fits into the overall environment. The playground becomes the central focus.

2. Matching the 3D Design Concept

Another key request was to recreate the original 3D rendering that Blue Imp had used to sell the concept to their client. Reproducing the same angle and perspective helps showcase just how closely the final build matches the proposed design. This is powerful visual proof for current clients that they received exactly what was promised. Moreover, it builds trust with potential future clients as well.

3. Creative and Detail-Oriented Shots

Lastly, we were asked to capture creative detail shots. A great example came from a ship-themed park in Thunder Bay. Using a low-level, wide-angle composition aimed dramatically upward, we gave the playground real nautical character. The sky was mostly overcast, but the sun broke through just enough to create a moody, ocean-like light. Consequently, the result was magic. Needless to say, our client loved the final images.

Whether you’re a playground designer, park builder, or landscape architect, we have the tools and experience to capture your project the way it deserves to be seen. If you’re looking for a photographer for playground projects who understands how to bring your work to life, we’d love to collaborate.
