When Steph reached out to share that Mac had just proposed, her excitement was contagious. She said yes at a breathtaking cliff overlooking their homeland—a place both beautiful and deeply meaningful, perfect for a life-changing moment.
Steph and Mac loved the location so much that they wanted to recreate it with an engagement session. The catch? Winter had fully arrived, covering the cliffside in snow and making it slightly less accessible. However, I always enjoy turning challenges like this into stories worth capturing.
Winter Engagement Adventure
To reach the original proposal spot, we loaded into a side-by-side vehicle, making the snowy trek practical and cozy. Winter engagement photos in Thunder Bay require extra preparation, but Steph and Mac handled the cold like pros. Even while wearing stylish, photo-ready outfits, they stayed warm by hopping back into the side-by-side between shots. Additionally, Mac built a small fire at the clifftop to warm their hands, creating a perfect mix of romantic and rugged.
I came fully prepared in a one-piece parka, allowing me to lie in the snow and capture unique angles. As a result, we were able to tell a story that went beyond simple poses. And truly, Steph and Mac’s story was one worth capturing.
