We’ll go over everything you can expect during your 90-minute newborn photography session, which is held right in our comfortable, fully-equipped studio.
During the consultation, we’ll ask what colours, themes, or looks you love. Do you have a favourite blanket? A family heirloom? A cute knitted hat from Grandma? We encourage you to bring personal props to add a unique and sentimental touch to your photos.
By discussing your preferences in advance, we’re able to prep the studio before you arrive, ensuring the session flows smoothly and your little one stays comfortable throughout.
When you arrive for your newborn photography session at our Thunder Bay studio, everything will be ready for you and your little one. Our studio is fully set up before you arrive. We pre-set the room temperature to make sure it’s warm and cozy. We play soft lullaby music to help your newborn feel calm and secure. It’s all about creating a peaceful, soothing environment so your baby can settle in naturally.
We recommend bringing your baby dressed in their favourite outfit so we can begin photographing right away. Once we’ve captured some adorable shots in that outfit, we’ll transition to a second look or begin wrapping your baby in one of our high-quality wraps for classic newborn portraits.
During the 90-minute session, we’ll use a range of solid-coloured backdrops, soft baskets, and thoughtfully selected props to create a variety of looks. We want every image to feel unique and timeless. And of course, we’ll take photos of your baby with both parents, these moments are just as important as the solo shots.
